Account Deletion Policy

Effective Date: May 1, 2025

At Bible Journal, we respect your right to control your personal data. This policy explains our account deletion process and what happens to your data when you request account deletion.

How to Request Account Deletion

• Navigate to the Settings page in the app
• Select "Delete Account" option
• Confirm your decision to delete your account

Deletion Process

• Your account will be marked for deletion immediately upon request
• A 30-day grace period begins, during which you can cancel the deletion request
• After 30 days, your account and associated data will be permanently deleted

Data Deletion

Upon permanent deletion, the following data will be removed:

• Personal information (name, email, profile data)
• Journal entries and prayers
• Saved Bible verses and preferences
• Usage history and app settings

Data Retention

Some information may be retained for legal or business purposes:

• Records required by law (e.g., tax records, payment history)
• Anonymized usage data for service improvement

Canceling Deletion

During the 30-day grace period, you can cancel your deletion request by logging into your account and following the cancellation instructions in the Settings page.
